Are you looking for an opportunity in the dynamic environment of telecom's software development? Take the initiative and apply for a position as a Software Engineer to reinforce our motivated and highly qualified Engineering team.

You will be working with a highly motivated team on the development of our GSM/GPRS/UMTS/NGN network monitoring solution. High demands must be met by the system with regard to reliability, availability and performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• The focus of your duties will be the system-oriented programming in C for Unix (Linux, Solaris)
• Cooperation in the architecture and design of software components
• Designing software components in accordance with a requirement document
• Estimation of expenditure for the development of software components
• Development, enhancement and maintenance of software modules
• Performance optimisation of software modules
• Module and integration test for the created software
• Documentation of the created software
• Advanced training in new technologies and tools in the field of software engineering
• Initial familiarisation and further training in the Telecom Operational Systems Support Branch.
• Supporting the other software engineers in the team with your technical know-how and expertise

Requirements

You have had several years of experience in software development, preferably within the Telecom environment. You complement strong programming skills in C with a distinctive flair for design and architecture. You are very familiar with modern software engineering methods and you possess excellent know-how in low-level hardware programming, distributed systems and inter-process communication. You yourself estimate and cultivate am industrial software development process that results in high quality software in line with the market.

You are a resilient, customer-orientated personality and a good team player with strong communication skills. You work independently and show initiative. Apart from German, it goes without saying that you are fluent in written and spoken English.
