Responsibilities
The principal responsibilities of this position are:
- Design, implement and maintain software that meets highest quality standards with regards to robustness, testing and documentation
- Participate in architecture and detail design phases when creating new software components
- Provide effort estimates and regular status updates on planned or ongoing development projects
- Support the other software engineers in the team with your technical knowledge
For this position, a BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent applicable experience is required.
We are looking for a software developer with minimum 3 years experience with practical knowledge of database design, SQL with high-level RDBMS (MS Access, PostgreSQL) skills and proven C++ and Java/J2EE development experience in a Windows and UNIX product environment. You understand and appreciate a professional development process to create high quality software that meets market requirements. Proven know-how in telecom technologies - especially SNMP - is a must.
You have an open, dynamic personality that enjoys working in a fast moving industry. You are a self-motivated and a goal-oriented team player and display an excellent sense of responsibility and ownership. You are also interested in an eventual move to our Swiss headquarters in Zurich.
